Holy Istana

Lady of Light • Yellow Topaz

Eldest Daughter of Amaya and Istvan, Holy Istana is the Lady of Light, and the Goddess of the Sun who gifts her faithful with the ability to call the Fire of Heaven. Froth cannot withstand its cleansing power, nor can most Frothlings. She is the Bright Lady, the Lady of Justice and Mercy, who sees the truth within one’s heart.

Upon the death of Istvan, the Father of Creation, at the hands of Vella, Istana took Istvan’s throne as the Queen of the Sacred Groves. She is the patroness of House Sonnenberg.

Holy Istana is usually depicted as a tall woman with dark skin and golden hair with hints of blue flame flickering through the strands. Clad in golden armor, she wields sword and spell against the Frothlings, alongside her husband, Sir Anstell, the Paladin who was brave enough to say “hello” and claim her heart.

Shenesufa

Shenesufa

Lady of Air • Gray Tourmaline

Shenesufa, the Silver Lady, Second Daughter of Amaya and Istvan, is the Daughter of Air. She is worshiped as the Lady of the Wind and Clouds, who grants her faithful detachment when emotions threaten to overwhelm.

As the Stormbringer, she is a ruthless, vengeful warrior who slips easily into violence. Her weapon is a double-headed spear named Elda-Barqa. Her faithful can call lightning from a cloudless sky to power their weapons. The storm within her is kept quiet through the love of her two consorts, Hertha and Gertrudis, the ancient Chieftains of the Heril tribe. House Heril claims Shenesufa as its patroness.

Shenesufa is depicted as gray-eyed and white-haired, tall and straight, her skin light blue and tinged with frost.

Mediana

Lady of Earth • Peridot

the Lady of Trees, Goddess of all that grows above the ground. To the Dwarves, she is the Mother of Mountains, Goddess of all below the ground. As for the humans, she stands in the Mother’s place: the Goddess of All Creation. Mediana died in the Last Battle of the World-That-Was when the Ladies and their Consorts pushed Vella, the Enemy, beyond the Gate. Whether in Elven, Dwarven, or human shape, Mediana had lush brown hair and deep brown eyes. Her consorts and her faithful believe that Mediana’s soul will one day be reborn in another body, and she will walk among the trees and in crystal caves. Her Elven consort, Veronmiel, tends the garden where her soul sleeps and dances amid the flowers. Her Dwarven consort, Oskalar, rules over his Dwarven-kin below the surface. Her human consort, Alzena, sleeps in a sarcophagus next to her Lady’s, ready to be awakened when Mediana’s resurrection is near.

Fourth Daughter of Amaya and Istvan, Eidelothema is the Lady of the Healing Springs and the Raging River. Gentle by nature, she watches over the sick and injured, granting healing power to her priests and priestesses. When roused to anger, she is relentless; water always finds a way. She is closest to Shenesufa, the Lady of Air, and they often combine their elements when waging war against Vella. Eidelothema is blue-haired with skin so pale one can see the delicate tracery of her veins. Her husband is Fanruel, known as the Hunter, an Elven warrior who can shift his form into a dolphin.

Lady of Dreams

Lady of Dreams • Amethyst

Fifth Daughter of Istvan and Amaya, the Dreamer’s true name is known only to her sisters and their consorts. Despite this, or maybe because of it, she has more titles than any of the other Ladies. She is Lady of the Moon and Stars in her aspect as the Goddess of Night. As the Goddess of Music, she is the Lady of Song. Magistri call her the Lady of Twilight, the Goddess of Magic. And for lovers, she is the Lady of Love. For Bess and her grandfather, she bears an old name: the Lady of Hope. The Dreamer’s hair is black as midnight, her eyes purple as the darkest amethyst. Both are filled with stars, while her skin glows with moonlight. She is married to the Bard, whose name is also unknown to the faithful, and is a member of a formidable triumvirate of magic and music with a mysterious and ghostly figure known as the Master. She is often depicted with her lover, Demetrice Ana’allendenaya, in her persona as the Shaper of Spells.

Demetrice Ana'allendenaya

The Foundress of House Sonnenberg is known as the Little Sister of the Ladies. Most Sonnenbergs and all Herils regard her as a Goddess in her own right, but the Cult claims she is nothing more than a power-hungry Magistra who steals power that is not hers. As for Demetrice herself? All she knows is that she is caught between mortal and immortal, between ordinary and divine, made from the hair, bones, teeth, and blood of the Blessed Ladies and the Holy Parents. In life and in death, she is the Copper Raven, who gathers the souls of the faithful and brings them to the afterlife in the Sacred Groves. Her titles include the Shaper of Spells, the Mother of the Magistri, and the Angel of Death. Demetrice created the gems to restore the currents of magic after the deaths of Mediana and the Father. She herself died when the Gate opened, and since then has haunted Castle Sonnenberg and the crypts beneath Heril Castle.
